Banner has introduced the PresencePLUS P4 IP68-rated OMNI vision sensor, purpose built for use in harsh environments. Featuring a nickel-plated aluminium housing, the sealed OMNI vision sensor withstands demanding wash-down conditions as well as the dust and debris common in harsh environments.

Equipped with Banner’s full suite of inspection tools, the sealed sensor performs reliable, repeatable quality inspections in challenging automotive, assembly, food handling, printing, pharmaceutical and packaging applications, including:

* Label alignment inspection.

* Colour verification and matching.

* Flaw detection.

* 2D and 1D bar code reading.

* Packaging inspection.

* Assembly verification.

* Fill level detection.

* Drilled hole inspection.

* Error proofing.

The rugged space-saving housing has been designed for installation anywhere that shock and vibration might normally be a problem for general vision products. They are also ideal for aseptic and industrial clean-room environments, as well as anywhere dust, water and contaminants might be a problem.
