Handheld ultrasonic flowmeter
July 2009
Flow Measurement & Control
Meter Systems was proud to introduce its latest range of ultrasonic flowmeters at the Process Show 2009. The range of Katronic ultrasonic flowmeters is suitable for use in a number of applications such as oil and gas, petro-chemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and process instrumentation industries.
One of the products on display was the KATflow 200 handheld clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter. The KF200 handheld meter is an instrument designed ultimately for purpose and expediency. It is easy to install and includes a graphical display providing the user with more information on the meter, the diagnostic screen with digital oscilloscope function and realtime graphs of the flow data.
The Katronic range is known for its non-invasive, non-intrusive and contactless ultrasonic measuring techniques. The emphasis lies in the utilisation of ultrasound to determine physical properties of fluids, especially ultrasonic flow measurement, level, concentration and density. Products are highly sophisticated yet easy to operate. They cover a pipe diameter range from 10 to 3000 mm with special options available for more demanding applications.
