The Smart Place infrared self-contained sensor series is offered in three different modes of operation: through-beam mode with a sensing distance of up to 6 m, proximity mode with a sensing distance of up to 30 cm and retro-reflective mode with a range up to 3 m.
With the needs of the packaging and material handling industries in mind, the Smart Place has a fast reaction time of 1 ms, IP67, shock and vibration-proof with a high exterior light immunity of up to 50 000 LUX. It has a power supply ranging from 10-30 V d.c. with a dual NPN/PNP transistor output and offers easy adjustment by means of an external potentiometer positioned on the top of the sensor and light/dark switch.
The series is compact and offers a choice of cable or plug connection, both with power on and received signal indication. The sensors can be mounted using either the M18 cylindrical nose or the two holes in the housing, permitting hide-away possibilities never before possible and offering the customer numerous options of placement.
