Temperature Measurement

Probes with improved response

June 2009 Temperature Measurement

Monitoring and controlling temperature is an essential process application, which in many cases requires both speed and accuracy to ensure product quality.

ifm electronic’s range of TT temperature sensors have been designed to ensure accurate and reliable processes through fast response times. The accuracy of the class A Pt 1000 sensor allows temperature fluctuations to be detected quickly and precisely in a measuring range from -40 to 150°C.

The high protection IP 67 rating and high-grade stainless steel housing material ensure long life of the sensor designed for industrial applications in hygienic areas and viscous media. The TT design is available in 6, 8 or 10 mm diameters with probes of 110 to 560 mm allowing variable installation depths.

As an option, the sensor can be additionally protected using a thermo-well and it can directly process the measured temperatures via the TR control monitor. The probes can be integrated into almost any application using process adapters and standardised M12 connectors.
