Heavy duty Profinet I/O device with IP67 protection.
The robust I/O field devices in the Rugged Line product range from Phoenix Contact include IP65/67 protection enabling them to be installed where they are most needed – directly next to machines. The die-cast zinc housings even allow them to be installed adjacent to welding tongs or claws.
The Rugged Line range has now been expanded to include a Profinet I/O device. Users can now utilise the trend-setting Profinet technology for applications in harsh industrial environments. With its robust housing, detailed diagnostics for sensors and actuators, and tool-free device replacement in the event of malfunction, this device ensures high system availability.
The integrated switch saves costs in setting up line structures while the use of freely configurable channels reduces the number of device types, thus saving on spare parts. Plug connectors with push-pull locking for Profinet and supply voltages, M12 connectors for peripheral devices, and snap-on device electronics all simplify on-site installation and start-up tasks, helping to keep wiring faults to a minimum.
The extensive diagnostic functionality allows for speedy start-up, and troubleshooting in the event of malfunction; through strict separation of diagnostic indicators and connectors, all status and diagnostic LEDs are easy to read and cable outlets are well protected.
