The high-performance FB100 temperature and process controller has been added to the FB range from RKC Instrument.
This high-performance, 48 x 48 mm, 1/16 DIN size controller has an accuracy of 0,1%, selectable sampling times from 50 to 250 ms for fast response and high resolution. Another feature is the brilliant II PID control with selectable control algorithms. PV derivative PID is suitable for fixed set-point control (factory setting) and the deviation derivative PID is suitable for ramp control using ramp-to-set-point function and a cascade control. The FB100 has a ramp-to-set-point/output change rate limiter and advanced an heat/cool algorithm with undershoot suppression.

The FB100 saves space with a depth of only 74 mm and all internal assemblies can be removed from the front for easy maintenance; using a mounting bracket that has been designed to allow close horizontal mounting of as many as six units. The power circuits are equipped reinforced insulation, which eliminates the need for additional safety measures to prevent break-down shock.
This instrument features user-friendly keys and display with an auto-temperature rise with learn-in function. This feature has been incorporated to allow uniform temperature distribution at ramp-up, eliminating partial thermal expansions even in systems incorporating multiple FB100 controllers.
The memory is discretely divisible allowing up to eight sets of control parameters to be grouped in an area. Parameters in a memory area can be changed at one time by selecting the memory area through key operation or the communication interface. It also has start-up tuning to eliminate the time needed for auto-tuning and it features easy parameter setup via a USB loader port.
