Turck has introduced an addition to the uprox+ Factor 1 sensor family – the model QV40.
The inductive sensor which comes in a 40 mm rectangular housing and features IP68 degree of protection was designed for quick and tool-free mounting. The QV40 can be snapped on the retainer using only one hand. The new housing concept also enables tool-free rotation of the active face so that the sensor can be aligned in five different directions. Despite the flexibility the robust QV40 remains firm in its work position.
Aimed at applications which require a high-density sensor network, for example in conveyor systems, the new magnetic-field resistant uprox+ QV40 guarantees considerable time and cost savings with respect to mounting and maintenance. As the flexible mounting possibilities enable individual alignment of each sensor, tedious planning as well as storage of different sensor models and mounting accessories is no longer necessary. Corner LEDs with a high luminosity display show the current switching state of the QV40 in any mounting position. The electrical connection is established via a M12 x 1 connector. The non-flush version of the QV40 features a very high switching distance of 50 mm.
Integrated pre-damping protection allows partial embedding of these sensor types.
