ARCA Regler, of Germany, has received an order for the delivery of 100 control valves for use in a new polymer plant under construction in Chernigov, Ukraine.
The valves in nominal widths of DN 25 up to DN 250 made from cast steel or stainless steel respectively are equipped with the compact multispring actuators Type 812 and the reliable smart positioner ARCAPRO Type 827A from ARCA.
Particularly challenging during construction were the valves for the smelter requiring special design with double heating jackets. The pipe is shown in the photograph surrounded by the heating jacket to prevent cooling and crystallisation of the medium.
Another innovation was the welding ends fitted to the pipes to enable direct welding into the double pipeline without additional flanges.
