Endress+Hauser is now offering its new Eco-Graph paperless recorder which it says has set a new trend in process recorder design. The company says that the new recorder combines flexibility with environmental compatibility at a price no higher than conventional paper recorders.
The instrument is available in two versions - a three-channel line recorder and a six-channel unit, offering performance that extends from simple standard recording functions to the sophisticated functionality of hybrid recorders combined with analog channel integration. The overall operating costs are lower than conventional paper and pen recorders as there are fewer moving parts and no need for consumables such as paper and ink.
The unit features a large 5" colour graphic display, three or six universal analog inputs with two alarm set points per channel, four control/event inputs and three relays as well as RS232 and RS485 outputs. A quick set-up function and automatic signal detection simplifies the configuration process. The unit can handle a feed rate up to 1000 mm/h and stores up to 512 000 values in its internal memory. In addition, a built-in diskette drive allows for data archiving, providing an additional 1,44 MB of storage on industry standard diskettes.
The unit is delivered with Endress+Hauser's ReadWin PC software which provides access to stored data, setup and data import functions. Customers are offered the Eco-Graph on a 'Try before you buy' basis where they can use the unit in their plants for four weeks on a test basis at no charge.
