Banner Engineeering delivers a high-performance sensing solution with enhanced security features
The DX70 SureCross wireless network offers an affordable, robust wireless sensing solution with high-performance capabilities. DX70 delivers a low-cost dedicated wireless industrial I/O system, providing directly mapped I/O using a gateway and node, each equipped with discrete inputs and outputs. DX70 also offers two-way RX/TX communications with full acknowledgement and easy installation, making it a cost-effective, simple to implement solution for remote I/O applications or plant environments where conduit and wiring are impractical.
The units have a three mile operating range, depending on the environment, and are available in 900 MHz and 2,4 GHz options
A node on the network can be easily deployed and is used to gather information that is concentrated at a DX70 gateway system controller, which can be located up to three miles away. The system uses a frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) protocol and time division multiple access (TDMA) technology to ensure reliable and secure data communication. An enhanced security feature called binding, which minimises any possible noise or interference caused by other wireless products is also included. Gateway and node modules are self-contained in rugged IP67 enclosures to deliver affordable, exceptional monitoring and control capabilities in challenging environments.
“With superior reliability, security and deterministic response capabilities, the DX70 gateway and node combination delivers a low-cost, robust wireless sensing solution with plug-and-play functionality,” says Chris Dales, senior application engineer, Banner Wireless Division. “The units provide high-performance sensing with two-way communications between devices designed for a wide range of factory, remote site or other challenging applications.” Dales adds, “The cutting-edge binding feature ensures that a node and gateway can communicate wirelessly without noise obstruction or signal interference for enhanced security and reliability.”
DX70 offers high-performance, low-cost wireless sensing with secure, robust communications in remote or hard-to-reach locations, making it an exceptional solution for a wide variety of applications, including:
* Remote I/O data acquisition.
* Remote monitoring of towers or tank farms.
* Loading dock occupancy monitoring.
* Physical plant energy monitoring.
* Detection of water tank levels in ethanol plants.
* Train car location monitoring and marshalling in train yards.
