Multifunctional pressure sensors for hygienic areas

IFM Electronic has introduced the PF/PI range of multifunctional pressure sensors for use in hygienic areas. Maintenance-free, the stainless steel sensors provide a reliable monitoring of viscous media and liquids with suspended particles such as those found in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
The integration of two binary outputs or one switching output and one analog output guarantees the connection to diverse application requirements. For the analog output, a current output of 4 to 20 mA or voltage output 0 to 10 V can be selected. Zero point and span are adjustable and a choice of either a two or three wire unit is available.
The sensors are vibration and shock resistant, suit CIP requirements and meet IP67 standards. By means of IFM's MO connection concept, the sensors can be integrated into almost every process. Peak values are stored and indicated on a bright and clear seven-segment LED display.
