IFM Electronic's new IM5120 electromagnetic field immune sensors are designed for conveying applications particularly in the automotive industry, as well as being ideal for use in machine tools and factory automation. The 40 x 40 mm rectangular inductive sensors have the same sensing characteristics on all metals allowing for constant correction factor. Sensing ranges of up to 40 mm are achievable.

The sensing face can be aligned in five different positions by loosening an adjusting screw, allowing optimal coupling for the application constraints. Two clearly visible corner LEDs provide optical indication, which can be seen even under adverse installation conditions.

The IM5120 inductive sensors meet IP 67 requirements and are protected against short circuits, reverse polarity and overloads. They have a reinforced plastic housing with a rotatable M12 connector.

Also included in the range are Teflon coated units for welding applications.
