Mean Well has announced the introduction of the SCW08/DCW08 series of 8 W regulated single/dual output DC/DC converters to meet the growing demands of low cost and miniature size applications. With DIP packaging, these 8 W products maintain the same size as the original 3 W products and can operate at full load at 60°C ambient temperature.
Standard features include 2:1 wide input range, 1000 V d.c. input/output isolation, low ripple noise, low cost, CE/FCC compliance, and short circuit/overload protection. The five-sided shielded metal case can significantly enhance their EMC characteristics and make them suitable for industrial control, telecoms, and distributed power architecture related applications.
