Cable, wire and component marking system from Lapp Cable

March 2007 Enclosures, Cabling & Connectors

Fleximark AB is a Swedish company that since 1978 produces, manufactures and develops marking systems for cables, wires and components in areas such as offshore, automation, telecom and process industries. Fleximark's products are designed to meet the toughest demands. They produce a range of marking systems including standard systems, custom systems and data marking systems for cables, wires and components, such as the Fleximark stainless steel marking system, Flexipart and Flexiprint for wire marking, Flexisoft 9.0 software and thermal transfer printers for data marking, and Flexilabel and Cable label for cable data marking. Owned by the Lapp Cable Group, Fleximark is available for supply in all Lapp Cable branches.

Stainless steel marking system

Fleximark's stainless steel marking system is designed to meet the demands of tough and hazardous industrial environments, offering vital protection against fire, water and chemical attack.

The standard marking system is built with break-off-character strips and different holders for marking cables, components, pipes and devices in demanding and aggressive environments. For this purpose Fleximark also manufactures high quality stainless steel cable ties and a stainless steel tie gun. Cable ties are provided with an effective locking device and can be mounted by hand or with the help of the stainless steel tie gun. Stainless steel can also be manufactured as a marking kit.

Fleximark customised stainless steel marking is delivered as ready-made signs with or without cable ties. This marking can also be delivered with one or two rows of text and be sorted on charts according to customer request.

Marking tags and collars for cable and component marking

Fleximark standard and customised marking tags can be used for many types of marking, which makes them a very efficient marking alternative. They are easy to print using our Flexisoft software and thermal transfer Multiprinter. Tags are available in two different colours - white and yellow - and in many different sizes.

Fleximark marking tags can be used for different marking areas, such as different collars for cable and wire marking, Lumberg marking and collars for component marking. Fleximark offers transparent, halogen free, snap-on and clip-on collars.

Fleximark collars are provided with a marking sleeve giving them protection against scratches. Snap-on collars can be mounted directly on an already-mounted wire or cable. Clip-on collars for component marking can be used for Lumberg I/O boxes, when a tougher marking is needed. Clip-on collars can also be used in automatic fuses.

Fleximark tags for terminal block marking are an efficient way to mark different terminal blocks from different manufactures. A complete range of terminal block marking is available.

Flexisoft 9.0 with e-plan interface and thermal transfer printers

Flexisoft software is a user-friendly label printing program that exploits the potential of Microsoft Windows. With the aid of ready-made templates for the Fleximark labelling system it is easy to create and print different labels. E-plan interface, filter function, text generation, serial numbering, electrical symbols, graphics, cut-and-paste, printing and file managing are some of the features supported by Flexisoft.

Fleximark also offers Datamax thermal transfer printers, which offer excellent quality, durable and technologically advanced features. The E4304 printer is an entry level, compact printer with 300dpi resolution. The M4306 is a high performance, high volume, stable printer for industrial applications. Both of these printers work with Flexisoft 9.0.

For marking items such as tags for collars and terminal blocks, Fleximark offers a user-friendly thermal transfer Multiprinter. Together with Flexisoft software this creates a complete system for marking terminal blocks, components, cables and wires, more or less everything that you need in a control panel. The thermal transfer Multiprinter prints on both hard and soft plastic and can be provided with a magazine for producing larger quantities.
