Microsep acquires Safeline metal detection agency
March 2007
News
Microsep is pleased to announce that it has acquired the southern African Safeline business from Estech as of 1 December 2006. Safeline is a UK-based company owned by Mettler Toledo specialising in metal detection in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
"By acquiring Safeline we now have access to the complete Mettler Toledo range of product inspection technology and thus consolidate the distribution of the full range of Mettler Toledo Industrial products in our region. This metal detection business will therefore be included in our Mettler Toledo Industrial product portfolio", says Richard Jelley, managing director of Microsep.
Mettler Toledo Safeline is one of the world-wide equipment and service leaders in product contaminant detection and quality assurance in the food and pharmaceutical industries, offering access to the most complete package of metal detection and X-ray inspection equipment and support services available.
The Safeline product range includes metal detectors for conveyor-fed, gravity-fall, pipeline and pharmaceutical applications. All units feature advanced, microprocessor technology with digital signal processing to maximise detection sensitivity while minimising false rejects.
