Bellville and Saldanha showday
March 2007
News
January has traditionally been the season for Roadshows in Rustenburg but this year Penmac decided to exhibit in the Western Cape instead. Still early in the new year, but even so the shows enjoyed a substantial crowd of exhibiting companies keen to promote their new products in this region.
Starting in Bellville Cape Town on 6 February visitors came from far and near and interestingly covered a wide spectrum of end-user companies and applications. The concept of bringing technology to the user again proved to be very important here as many of these buyers would seldom travel to up-country events.
On 8 February the Control Roadshow was hosted at the Protea Hotel in Saldanha Bay. First visitors at this show were a group that had travelled all the way from Namibia to keep abreast of the latest technology. A good steady stream of visitors attended both shows throughout both show days which ended at 17h00. Exhibitors at the two shows included: AC/DC Dynamics, Adroit Technologies, Anglo Allied Engineering, Atlas Industrial Systems, Burkert Contromatic, Cape Instrument Services, Citect, Extech Safety Systems, Inala Technologies, Indecx Instrumentation, Instrotech, Laser Measurement, Loadtech Load Cells, National Instruments, Phendula Technologies, Phoenix Contact, RJ Programmable Techniques, RS Components, SAIMC, Sperosens, Tech Electrical, Temperature Controls, Throughput Technologies, Valve & Automation, WNIP.
Further scheduled shows for 2007 include Phalaborwa on 19 April, Nelspruit on 14 June, Secunda on 26 July, East London and Port Elizabeth on 28 and 30 August and finishing up with the Vaal Triangle on 11 October.
