Materials testing instruments are now available in SA from MCI

February 2007 Maintenance, Test & Measurement, Calibration

A new range of materials testing instruments is now available in South Africa from MCI.

This quality range of instruments consists of hardness (shore and Rockwell), surface roughness testers, ultrasonic thickness and coating thickness gauges, ultrasonic flaw detectors, vibration testers, machine analysers, balancers and analysers, portable infrared thermometers and non-contact fixed infrared thermometers, with a measuring range of 300 to 3300°C.

Most of the specific group of instruments have available economical to sophisticated versions with PC linkage and analyses software. The hardness testers also have a wide range of optional impact devices and support rings for testing virtually any shape of material, for example spherical tubes inside and outside, long and narrow channels, grooves and recessed surfaces, light and small pieces, heavy and rough cast materials and forged pieces.

The range of ultrasonic thickness gauges can measure metal, ferrous and non-ferrous metals and non-metallic materials. The coating thickness gauges are ideal for measuring the coating thickness of paint, finishes, enamels, plastic, anodisation, on ferrous and non-ferrous substrates.

Most of the instruments are available in portable or laboratory versions to suit most application requirements.

This range of material testing instruments is economically priced but feature high quality, robustness, good accuracy and worldwide recognition.
