Topworx has recently added a new member to its popular DXP range of valve controllers. This unit is ideal for the oil and gas industry and other applications that require precise position feedback. The Valvetop DXP with 4-20 mA analog feedback offers an innovative, revolutionary design that is unique to the industry. No more trims and pots. Just set it and forget it!

Key features include:

* No more hassles or wasted time spent adjusting and readjusting calibration.

* Easy auto calibration with no tools required.

The single pushbutton auto-calibration feature eliminates zero/span interaction and reduces set-up time by 95%. Reverse directions are automatically accounted for during the calibration process, because it can be calibrated in both actuator/valve rotational directions without adjusting the feedback device position. Simply apply power to the unit, and press the auto-calibration button.

- Clockwise calibration: hold button for more than 3 seconds.

- Counter-clockwise calibration: hold button for more than ½ second, but less than 3 seconds.

* Easy set-up.

- LED included for easy set-up and status indication - reduces possible set-up errors.

* Easy access for maintenance.

- The small package design allows easy access to limit switch cams for maintenance and troubleshooting.

- The 4 mA signal can be configured on either end of travel (i.e. 4-20 mA or 20-4 mA) for either clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation choices.

* Broad range of solenoid and switch options.

- Optional solenoid pilot valve (24 V d.c.).

- Available with GO Switch, mechanical (SPDT and DPDT), proximity and inductive sensor switch options.

* Durable and reliable.

- Designed with non-volatile memory of set-points, so they remain even after loss of power.

- Fully encapsulated electronics module is potted and sealed for excellent environmental protection.

- Environmentally resistant feedback device is fitted directly to the shaft.

- No gear wear or mechanical binding, and no hysteresis due to gear backlash.

- Provides linear feedback to electronics module.

- Advanced diagnostics includes detection of dead band, out of range indication and detection of internal memory errors.

- ±1% position linearity for the complete device.
