Hach has released the new HQd series of portable digital meters. They use the new IntelliCAL digital probes to monitor pH, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen. The HQ40d has dual probe input and simultaneously measures two different probes (ie, pH and D.O.) so testing of two different parameters of the sample can be done.
Both the HQ40d and the single-input model HQ30d are smart, intelligent meters that store probe serial numbers, calibration history, user ID, time, date and user location, with the facility to store 500 point event logs.
Being digital the probes can be mixed and matched without the necessity of re-calibration. The IntelliCAL probes are automatically recognised by the HQd meters, so probes are easily interchangeable and each intelligent probe stores its calibration history and can be reliably used in harsh environmental conditions.
