Advantech's panel PCs for food and beverage industries

December 2006 Industrial Computer Hardware

Advantech's PPC-158T and PPC-L60T panel PCs are equipped with highly reliable capacitive touchscreens and tough ingress protected stainless steel front bezels, making them ideal for use in the food and beverage industries.

The touchscreen has a smooth and scratch resistant coating that has a 225-million touch lifetime while transmitting 91% of light for a clear and vivid picture. The accuracy, durability, and fast response time of these touchscreens are unaffected by everyday kitchen contaminants. Capacitive touchscreens are built into 12" to 17" panel PCs that incorporate a range of Pentium III and Pentium 4 processors.

Panel PCs have a variety of customer installable panel, wall, swing arm, and desktop mounting options to provide maximum flexibility for system integrators. The panel PCs are resistant to heat, water and oil during daily food production and cleaning routines. Multiple mounting accessories and customised, protective enclosures enable panel PCs to be located virtually anywhere.

Advantech is represented locally by ProMicro.
