Since 1957, Lapp Kabel has been synonymous with the supply and support of some of the world's leading cable and process automation connection products. As the market success extends, demands for new technologies and systems has shown the release of Lapp's new ETHERLINE solution for industrial Ethernet components. Recently launched at the Electra Mining expo, visitors were shown what is available from the ETHERLINE range as a solution and add-on to their existing fieldbus networks. Components in the ETHERLINE range include:

* Managed and un-managed switches.

* Copper to fibre converters.

* Fieldbus gateways.

* IP67 switches.

* Ethernet to serial converters.

* Analysing software.

* Insulation displacement RJ45 connectors.

* Power supplies.

* Industrial Ethernet cable in both copper and fibre.

The new range supports all configuration types to include ring, star and tree topology and also has redundancy features. Coupled with the systems is a wireless solution to provide mobile applications and long distance communication to clients for ease of system access. Coupled to the wireless links is the latest in security encryption to guarantee users of safety at all times.
