Courses available from Festo Didactic in October 2006

October 2006 Training & Education Residential Estate (Industry)

These courses offered by Festo Didactic are MERSETA accredited courses and combine theory with practice.

The Basic Pneumatics course includes the objectives of low-cost automation, pneumatic symbols and other general pneumatic principles, and will run from 4-6 October in Cape Town, 11-13 October in Durban and 18-20 October in Vereeniging.

The Advanced Pneumatics course includes the specific application of actuators and valves and concepts like cascade circuit design, and will run from 4-6 October in Johannesburg.

The Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) course includes PLC control principles, familiarisation, programming and related material, and will run from 25-27 October in Durban.

The Basic Hydraulics course includes basic hydraulic principles, symbology and general concepts, and will run from 18-20 October in Johannesburg.

The Advanced Hydraulics course includes the development of circuit diagrams, analysis of hydraulic systems and synchronous operation of cylinders, and will run from 25-27 October in Johannesburg and 18-20 October in Cape Town.

The Mechatronics 1 course includes function and application of actuators, application and selection of sensors, role of controllers and control software, system integration and documentation as well as case studies and networking, and will run from 31 October-3 November in Cape Town.

The Mechatronics 2 course continues from Mechatronics 1. It includes a review on control technologies, the course furthers practical skills, such as downloading software to a PLC with diagnostics, and helps learners interpret technical specifications. It will run from 10-13 October in Johannesburg.
