The standard model of the M12 ultrasonic sensors has a narrow projection cone. With acoustic lens attachments, the spread can be reduced even more and reduced to less than 3,5 mm at close range. In this way, the sonic energy can be directed through cut-outs or into narrow openings. The mini ultrasonic sensors are therefore ideal for level measurements in micro titration plates, test tubes and blister packages. With a resolution of 0,3 mm, even the smallest level changes can be detected. Models with PNP switched outputs and with 0-10 V d.c. analog signals are available. The switching point, desired measuring range and the polarity of the analog signal can be configured conveniently via the external teach-in input.
