CBI-electric's sales promotion for Mitsubishi Frequency Inverter drives and the allied competition, culminated in a tropical island theme prize-giving held recently at Gillooly's Conference and Banqueting Centre in Johannesburg.
The promotion ran during February, March and April and according to CBI-electric's John Renney, it was a remarkable success. "Sales doubled and the upward trend continues," he added.
Invited guests and the eight finalists from around the country were treated to cocktails and snacks. The finalists underwent tense elimination rounds before the four final round qualifiers were decided: Rudi van der Merwe of Motiontronics, Greg Paris of Cable & Wire, Jasper Kroep of Woodrow Engineering and Elroy Adams of Megadrive. These four qualifiers, each armed with a key, then attempted to open a suitcase containing the prize. In the end Rudi van der Merwe was the winner of a trip for two to Zanzibar. The runners-up each received a Mitsubishi Compact Size Inverter and a kit bag of CBI-electric paraphernalia.
