Battery powered SMS communicator for remote monitoring applications

The SMARTFlo Data Link GSM module has been developed to fit applications where remote monitoring of field conditions is required. The input structure can be set up to accommodate multiple process inputs including digital states.
The SMS and e-mail features allow for instant alarm notifications to multiple recipients. Bi-directional communication allows for users to remotely interrogate the module. The user would SMS the module a 'STATUS' request and the module would respond with a pre-programmed text output message that can be configured by the client. A typical message could contain information about battery level, measured values, counter values and signal strength.
Typical monitoring applications would include pump trips, effluent conditions, pH and mV levels, temperature levels, tanks levels, and flows. Thresholds can be remotely configured and once reached, will trigger a text alarm via SMS or e-mail.
Modules can also be configured in a control mode that would enable remote switching of outputs. Inter-communication between modules is also possible. This feature is particularly useful in irrigation pumping applications where reservoir levels are controlled by switching pumps remotely using SMS communication.
