Separation of bearing load and sensor for longer service life

The bearing block by Kübler is a specific solution for prolonging the service life of encoders. It was designed for use in applications where belts are used together with encoders. The encoder bearings are overloaded if the belt is stretched too tightly and this results in a substantial reduction in the service life of the encoder. The bearing block, with its maximum bearing load of up to 600 N, increases the maximum bearing load of the encoder several times by separating the bearing function and the sensor component. The fixing dimensions are fully compatible with most common encoders. In this way even encoders that have already been installed can be retrofitted. Installation is relatively simple and requires no adaptation. A version for hollow shaft encoders is available for systems where installation space is limited. Even when used with an absolute multiturn encoder an installation depth of only 70 mm is required.
