Rockwell Automation is hosting its fourth annual RSTechED Africa Conference, incorporating Automation University. The RSTechED Africa Conference is an interactive, hands-on technical event that encompasses all aspects of automation including a focus on software.
This year's event will take place from 15 to 17 August at Emperor's Palace in Gauteng and will include an executive day on 15 August and technical user days on 16 and 17 August.
The conference is Africa's most comprehensive automation show that discusses and analyses the latest trends in complete automation solutions. RSTechED offers an in-depth look into the developments in manufacturing automation, manufacturing execution systems and visualisation software.
This is accomplished through practical discussions and lectures, interactive seminars and hands-on labs. Visitors are able to experience the technology first hand and participate in the discussions. Local and international guest speakers from Rockwell Automation will also present talks on various topics, issues, and trends in the industry.
Last year's event saw over 90 top executives attending the executive day while over 300 delegates attended the technical users day. Attendees experienced 50 presentations and interactive lab sessions and guest speakers included Kieran Coulton, Rockwell Automation vice president of Global Industry Solutions and president of the OPC Foundation, Tom Burke. Well known radio personality, Darren 'Whackhead' Simpson, also made an appearance and added an entertainment element to the event.
RSTechED Africa 2006 promises to deliver the same insight into complete automation solutions.
In an effort to deliver the complete automation experience, RSTechED 2006 is laying the foundation for next year's event which will feature Automation University exclusively. Automation University is a truly interactive and hands-on technical event that will encompass all aspects of automation, including RSTechED's focus on software.
