Brendan Campbell, product specialist for Comtest, says the Fluke Ti20 Thermal Imager offers a combination of state-of-the-art features and genuine affordability, unrivalled in the marketplace.
"Until recently, thermal imaging was complex and expensive, keeping it firmly in the domain of thermography specialists. Fortunately, recent advances in technology at Fluke have not only lowered the cost of thermal imagers but also made them easier to use."
With its one-handed 'point-and-shoot' operation and intuitive on-screen guidance, the TI20 promises greater ease-of-use. It also does not require specialist training to obtain accurate measurements.
Users can obtain high quality thermal images by just clicking the trigger and downloading the images and data into the companion InsideIR software for analysis and reporting. They can assign a unique name, preset emissivity and other values, assign alarm limits and add meaningful comments to each measurement location and then reload the data into the Ti20. Inspections can now be delegated to electricians and mechanics most familiar with the equipment. Users simply follow the on-camera, step-by-step routing instructions, then point, focus and create a new image. Features include:
* Fully radiometric for detailed temperature analysis and tracking of critical components.
* Large, bright display for high quality images.
* Optics optimised for safe working in industrial applications.
* Suitable for preventive maintenance by supporting inspection.
* Measures up to 350°C covering broad industrial applications.
* Specifically designed to survive harsh industrial environments.
The Ti20 Thermal Imager, recently launched by Fluke, is available through Comtest, the southern African distributor for the device.
