The new Calex Series infrared temperature transmitters available from PREI Instrumentation are compact, easy to install and a cost effective solution to temperature monitoring where infrared sensing is the only option.
The MLE series has a temperature range of -20 to 500°C and consists of a mini-sensing head (18 x 45 mm), connecting cable up to 5 metres in length and an electronic module housed in a 98 x 64 x 34 mm aluminium housing. Output from the MLE can be mA, thermocouple or mV, dependent on output required for the application. The rugged IP65 rated MLE series have an accuracy of 1% of the reading (not F.S.) and repeatability of 0,5% of reading, giving reliable and consistent temperature monitoring.
With optical distance to size ratios of 2, 10, or 30 the MLE is suitable for applications in paper, plastic, food, and metals that are painted, anodised, or oxidised. Options include air-purge collar, adjustable mounting bracket and laser sight tool etc.
