Range of programmable panel meters
December 2000
PLCs, DCSs & Controllers
Digital Process Measurement is offering its latest range of high quality field-mount loadcell products, consisting of three models.
The 6004 is a precision programmable loadcell transmitter. The analog output is selectable 4-20 mA, 0-10 V output. Serial RS232 communications and printing functions are standard on the 6004, which also displays net or gross weights. The Model 6013 is a belt weigher with 24 V power supply for shaft encoders. Belt flow rate or totalised mass can be displayed at the push of a button. The dynamometer indicator, Model 6014 measures engine power or road power including transmission on rolling road dynamometers. A pushbutton toggles between kW and horsepower.
These low profile devices are sized at 160 x 250 mm with a depth of 60 mm. The housing is a rugged IP65 flameproof, field-mount box, with a six-digit, 20 mm high visibility LED display. DPM has opted for the latest 24 bit sigma delta analog-to-digital converters to give superior resolutions for any applications. A set of eight keys allows the user to toggle between the various functions and for programming. The hardware and software have a lock-out security feature to prevent unauthorised access. The range is capable of driving up to four loadcells.
Switching power supplies is standard with two versions for 95-260 V a.c./d.c. or 12-24 V d.c. Excitation is user-selectable at 10 V standard or 5 or 3,3 V for ex (barrier) versions. Options include up to four alarm setpoints and RS485 interface.
Digital Process Measurement manufactures its own range of panel indicators, as well as name brands for a number of local and overseas companies, including Instrotech, Wika, Loadcell Services, Temperature Controls, Koppen & Lethem BV (Netherlands) and Avery Berkel (UK).
