Temperature probes, as used in sterilisers, must comply with stringent requirements. The new Jumo Steamtemp models from ASSTech Process Electronics & Instrumentation are supplied with straight or bent protection tubes in type 1.4571 stainless steel as well as a heat-shrink sleeve for a unit with a particularly fast response. All versions are completely waterproof and pressure-resistant up to 500 kPa and comply with IP67 enclosure protection. Process temperatures can range from -50°C to +150°C.
The sensor insert is fitted with one or two Pt100 Class A platinum sensors, and can be wired up in a 2-wire or 4-wire circuit, depending on the connecting cable. The standard length of the FEP connecting cable is 2,5 m. Other lengths are available on request. It can be connected to the electronics through receptacles or multipole connectors. Applications include equipment manufacture and laboratory apparatus.
