The HI 98801 and HI 98804 combine high resolution and extended temperature range with extensive logging capabilities and an infrared data transfer system. In addition to supplying the user with instant printouts of date, time and temperature, they can log the data without supervision at predetermined intervals, or manually, using the log-on-demand feature. The memorised information can be displayed at a later time, downloaded and/or printed. The meters also incorporate GLP (good laboratory practice) features that enable the user to retrieve the date and details of the last calibration. Default parameters such as prompts for recalibration or the auto-off settings are also operator adjustable. The backlight feature allows easy operation in poorly lit - or even unlit areas.
HI 98801 accepts one temperature probe while HI 98804 can take up to four separate probes. The sophisticated software allocates up to 14 000 temperature readings to maximise available space, regardless of the number of channels in use. The LCD shows temperature in large digits with a secondary level of readout displaying logging interval, channel, time and date.
The device weighs under half a kilogram and is supplied with five paper rolls, 4 x 1,5 V AA batteries and instruction manual in a rugged carrying case. Upon request HI 98801/C and HI 98804/C models are available supplied with a factory calibration certificate against NIST Standard. A recalibration service is available at the nearest Hanna service centre.
