Micro air nozzle for precision blow off
December 2005
Pneumatics & Hydraulics
Exair's new Micro Air Nozzle is the smallest available, providing precision blow off with a direct high volume, high velocity airflow. The air nozzle projects less than 25 mm past the mounting surface, permitting installation where space is limited. The durable stainless steel construction is suited for blow off, cooling, and drying applications located in general industrial, high temperature, food, pharmaceutical or corrosive environments.
The Micro Air Nozzle has been engineered to provide a narrowly focused air pattern that measures only 32 mm in diameter when positioned 150 mm away from the target surface. High amplification of entrained airflow and a strong blowing force of 3,33 N (12 ounces) is achieved with minimal air consumption of 368 litres/minute at 550 kPa. The Micro Air Nozzle meets OSHA standards for dead-end pressure 29 CFR 1910.242(b) and noise requirements 29 CFR 1910.95 (a), assuring safe operation.
The Micro Air Nozzle has a common 1/8 NPT male compressed air inlet that makes it easy to replace existing wasteful nozzles or open pipes. The 7/16 inch hex (11 mm) body can be installed using standard wrenches or sockets. A variety of configurations are available that include Safety Air Guns, flexible Stay Set hoses and magnetic bases.
