Non-contact gas velocity measurement

The V-CEM5000 provides non-contact measurement of gas velocity using a time-delay correlation of flue gas infrared emissions received by two detectors spaced a fixed distance apart. Gas velocities ranging from 1 m/sec to 50 m/sec can be measured. The technique is suitable for all combustion gases especially hot and dirty gases with a high dust burden. Unlike other techniques the V-CEM 5000 is not affected by variation in gas density. The instrument is free from maintenance requirements and has a long failure-free life span.
The monitor incorporates integral automatic procedures for span checking and interfaces directly to any 4-20 mA interface or serial and digital output. Features include:
* US EPA 40 CFR 75 approval for automatic calibration.
