Temperature Measurement
The TR2432 temperature-measuring amplifier from IFM Electronic is a universal control and display unit for the connection of Pt temperature sensors. The electronics automatically detect whether two-wire, three-wire or four-wire Pt 100 or Pt 1000 sensors are connected. With its wide measuring range of -40 to 300°C, a large number of common temperature measurement and monitoring tasks in the manufacturing and process industries can be solved by using only one unit.
The measuring amplifier has a high resolution and a 0 to 10 V or 4 to 20 mA scaleable analog output. Its integrated four digit, 10 segment, alphanumeric display shows the current process temperature, and if not required, can be switched off. Critical process states such as minimum or maximum limit temperatures can be stored and directly monitored using the independent switching output.
IFM's new range of Pt100 cable temperature sensors is designed for direct connection to the TR2432 temperature measuring amplifier, as well as existing control monitors, AS-i modules and PLCs. The sensors can be directly connected to AS-i modules with Pt100 inputs, and for sensors with a M12 connector; connection is conveniently made via the connector.
Meeting IP67 protection requirements, the cable sensors have a Class A/B accuracy. A bolt-on version is designed for detecting casing temperatures at machines, gears and electric motors. An eyehole on the device enables easy mounting by using an M6 screw, and the PUR cables ensure resistance to coolants and lubricants.
The Pt100 sensors are available with different temperature ranges from -25 to 250° C, with a choice of three- or four-wire connection and either silicone, PUR or PTFE cable. The TS335A sensor has been designed according to category 3D of the ATEX directive 94/9/EC and is therefore suitable for dust applications in Zone 22.
