Pressure Measurement & Control
Yokogawa is offering the third generation of its DPharp pressure range in the EJX Series format. The DPharp EJX Series employs a next-generation multisensing technology that provides a level of performance that is significantly superior to previous models. With simultaneous measurement of both differential and static pressure with a single device, mass flow measurement is easily achieved with the latest addition in the range in the form of the EJX910A model.
Multisensing
The advances made in silicon resonant sensor technology have enabled the simultaneous measurement of differential pressure and static pressure with a single sensor. This unique feature will have a major impact on the deployment of instrumentation.
Superior performance
The standard DP type delivers accuracy within ±0,04% and a response time of 95 ms. This performance will help to improve plant performance and productivity.
The EJX Series also introduces 'Total Accuracy', a pioneering concept that provides a comprehensive performance evaluation benchmark. Total Accuracy incorporates the conditions of the actual usage environment such as ambient temperature, static pressure, and overpressure that affect measurement accuracy.
The EJX Series, in its standard configuration, is certified by TÜV as complying with Safety Integrity Level 2 (SIL 2).
* 1,0% mass flow accuracy over 1:10 flow range (100:1 DP range).
* Static pressure +0,1% of span.
* Temp +0,5°C.
* Simultaneous dual output of 4 to 20 mA and pulse signals.
* Expert flow configuration tool, FSA210.
* ISO5167-2,2003, standard for primary elements.
* AGA3 & AGA8 standards for natural gas.
Advantica flow centre
Yokogawa's new EJX910A multivariable transmitter was successfully flow tested at Advantica on a 12" natural gas piping line, operating at nominal conditions for the gas distribution network in the UK. The flow rate and line pressures were varied within the full range of possibilities for the site. The transmitter was set up using the FSA210 flow configuration software for an ISO5167 orifice plate and the AGA8 detailed method, whereby the natural gas composition measured using a GC and entered into the transmitter. EJX910A exceeded expectations by delivering a total mass flow performance better than -0,5% of reading when compared with the compensated reference turbine meter.
