Temperature Measurement
The JUMO CTI-750 uses a high-quality polyether-ether-ketone (PEEK) cell that allows application temperatures up to 140°C. The older 500 model incorporates a measuring cell made from polypropylene (PP), which enables use in temperatures up to 100°C.
All standard process connections can be supplied (screwed pipe fitting 'milk cone', clamp, threads, SMS and many more). The range of process connections has also been extended with the 'Varivent DN40/50' variant and a measuring cell that has been reduced in size, featuring a 1" pressure screw thread.
The technical specifications allow application in areas such as the food and beverage industries, and in CIP systems including sterilisation by superheated steam. A temperature probe with a fast response ensures correct compensation of the conductance and, as a result, accurate phase separation in CIP technology. Up to four measurement ranges and temperature coefficients can be switched over externally via two logic inputs - a function that is also indispensable in CIP systems. Sequential control for cooling towers has been integrated in the device software. Together with an external time switch and a small control system (the JUMO IMAGO 500 universal screen-led controller, for example), it is possible to implement cooling tower monitoring.
The JUMO CTI-750 features the same functions as the CTI-500: programmable ranges for conductance up to 2 000 mS/cm or temperature from 0 to 150°C, two electrically isolated standard signal outputs 0/4 to 20 mA or 0(2) to 10 V for conductance and temperature, two semiconductor switches as freely programmable switching points, concentration measurement for NaOH and HNO3 as well as a freely programmable curve. The supply voltage is 19-30 V (24 V d.c. typical).
The JUMO CTI-750 is available either as a combined unit (transmitter electronics located on the measuring cell) or with separate cell/transmitter. This arrangement enables measurement in systems with increased vibration or in locations where space is critical. The instrument is protected to IP67.
A graphical backlit LC display permits intuitive operation, with messages in plain text to prompt the user. The instrument is operated from a membrane keypad. An optional program for convenient programming and data storage is available.
