Scada breakfast sessions
July 2005
News
Over 800 SA industrial automation professionals booked to attend the nationwide Futuristix May-June breakfast sessions, which featured two hours of knowledge transfer, product and development news as well as some important announcements and market happenings. Dynamic Performance Management (DPM) was high on the agenda - a subject introduced by Dr Peter Martin at the X-CHANGE 2005 User Group Conference in April 2005.
"ArchestrA is ideally suited to the role of DPM," said Mike le Plastrier. "That is because it can help provide the required information in the right context and at the right time (including realtime) for all the levels of management and operations from shop floor to top floor by working with existing applications where they exist (eg, ERP, scada, etc) and filling in the gaps where they do not. A little less than 18 months after its release, ArchestrA is currently operating in 31 plants in South Africa. That means 31 plants that are not only addressing their scada and MES issues cost-effectively but that are also well on the way to right-time accounting when they choose."
Futuristix and EOH are offering the services of Dr Peter Martin to help forward-looking best-of-breed companies achieve this goal.
