Valves and controls supplier reports growth
July 2005
News
Tyco Valves & Controls Distribution SA, a subsidiary of the Tyco International Group has grown significantly over the last few years. Forming part of the Engineered Products and Services division of Tyco International, Tyco Valves & Controls' core business is the sales, support and distribution of valves and control products.
Originally known as Measure Tech, a company founded in June 1985, and subsequently purchased 100% by Tyco International, Tyco Valves & Controls has moved from strength to strength, with orders almost doubling in the last year.
In August 2003, the company moved to new premises in Edenvale, East of Johannesburg. These larger premises were required to accommodate the expanded stock holding and to allow for a larger service bay, where the company carries out repairs and refurbishments on most of the valves sold into the South African market. The goal is to expand its repair, service and test business in the near future.
Along with its expansion, Tyco Valves & Controls has recently been restructured to focus on its core business and the markets it serves. In addition to its sales team, Tyco Valves & Controls has a few select distributors in dedicated areas and markets. With their local knowledge and presence, they assist in offering service excellence within their areas on products such as Sapag, Keystone, Neotecha, Crosby, Controlotron and Preso.
