Land's M1 is the latest addition to the extensive System 4 range of radiation thermometers for temperature measurement in the range 450 to 1000°C. M1 thermometers are suitable for applications such as metals processing including hardening, forging, soldering and sintering and many others.
The M1 thermometers feature focusable optics with standard and short focus versions available with through-the-lens sighting providing clear definition of target. Rugged in design, they offer an extensive range of mounting options and accurate, reliable, drift-free measurement. With a small target capability, the thermometers have a high level output and traceability of calibration, meeting BS EN ISO 9001 requirements.
System 4 is an advanced range of high precision radiation thermometers used with the Landmark Graphic, Classic, Technic or Basic processor from which they derive the necessary power supply and emissivity control signals. Thermometer type, temperature range, spectral response, optical characteristics, and mountings and accessories are all chosen to suit the particular application.
M1 thermometers utilise proven reliable electronics combined with a high quality optical system to provide accurate, dependable temperature measurement. To minimise emissivity errors the M1 thermometers operate in the 1 µm waveband. The thermometers are housed in a rugged die cast aluminium body with a high quality electrical connector to provide reliable performance.
They all feature through-the-lens sighting with a 6° field of view. Adjustable focus with a circular graticule gives precise alignment onto the smallest of targets. The graticule defines the target size accurately, with over 98% of the infrared energy emitted by the target covered by the graticule.
