The newly developed 2-wire level gauges from Krohne include significant improvements to application reliability and operating philosophy - the weak points that had forever been criticised by the users of radar level measuring devices.
User wishes are clearly formulated: mount the device on the tank, switch it on, answer a few questions, and the device should work perfectly. Optiwave, the new generation of FMCW radar devices, has a high dynamic performance and can thus supply a wealth of tank information. Even the weakest measurement signals are distinguishable from high interference signals, leading to significantly higher application reliability compared to pulse radar devices, for example. The first applications using Optiwave as a replacement for such devices provide convincing evidence of this.
Optiflex, a contacting reflex-radar device from Krohne, has also been completely redesigned and the manufacturer states that this instrument now constitutes the reference device for its competition. The innovative electronic measuring equipment offers maximum application reliability over a large range of tank products and the thinnest of interfaces.
Common to both devices is the completely new operating philosophy. The quick set-up assistant guides the user through the necessary inputs, provides a wealth of information in the form of graphics and texts - and there is additional online help if required.
