At a workshop held in Kyalami, Johannesburg, Circuit Breaker Industries, in association with ATC and African Cables (fellow members of the Reunert Group), recently launched the South African leg of its Flip Side campaign. The success of the first workshop in Gaberone was repeated with over 230 engineers, contractors, OEMs, panel builders, system integrators and end users attending the two-day event.
Rudi Coetzee, commercial director of CBI, kicks off proceedings at the recent Flip Side workshop in Kyalami, Gauteng
CBI has a long tradition of excellence in the manufacture and supply of circuit breakers and residual current devices. This, however, is only part of its business and the conference was entitled 'Flip Side' in order to convey the company's extensive involvement in markets on the flip side of the switch, from transformers to meters. With its Reunert partners, CBI is able to supply MCCBs, surge protection devices, prepayment meters, instrument, data and optical cabling, and automation, motor control and switchgear products including PLCs, variable speed drives, HMIs, servo drives, contactors and relays.
Presentations were designed to accommodate CBI's broad customer base with topics focusing on customer, practical, technical and corporate applications. Various experts added depth to the proceedings by sharing their knowledge of current technologies and their experiences in the field. The turnout was excellent and the team is planning future conferences across South Africa and up into Africa.
