Optimum combustion in small-scale boiler plants

Oxygen, temperature, carbon monoxide and dust are the controlled variables that are essential for ecological and cost-effective operation of boiler plants. The Sick Maihak MCI 900 multicomponent analyser system measures these variables continuously, instantaneously and accurately. The air ratio is significant for optimum operating conditions of a fuel burning plant. The maximum efficiency level is reached when the value is in the optimum area.

Pollutant levels are reduced through continuous monitoring of CO and dust burdens. The MCI 900 is easily installed, and with precise in-situ technology, it eliminates the need for test or auxiliary gases as the air is used for calibration while the boiler is being purged.

The MCI 900 has measuring ranges of 0,1-10 up to 25% Vol. for O2, 0-100 up to 20 000 ppm for CO and 0-5 up to 200 mg/m3 for dust measurements. The basic configuration includes the evaluation unit, connection unit, O2 probe and two temperature sensors, while the extended configuration includes the GM 901 CO monitor and FW 102 dust monitor.
