Precision Scientific Petroleum Instruments' (PSPI) Models 42702DX and 42702H on-stream process monitors are designed for quickly and accurately measuring the freeze point of hydrocarbon products completely online.
The monitors measure freeze point from -62 to +25°C with the measurement correlating to ASTM D-2386, IP16 test methods. No sample recovery system is required for return pressures up to 20 psi below inlet pressure. The microprocessor-controlled instruments are offered as either a NEC ex-proof unit or as a CENELEC ex-proof unit both with self-test and diagnostic capabilities.
Typical applications are locations where automatic, online composition analysis of aviation fuel, diesel fuel, cycle oil or gas oil streams is required, for example, in quality monitoring, blending optimisation, closed loop process control and quality assurance. Response time for a typical cycle is 2 to 10 minutes with repeatability 0,5°C or better. Three operating modes are offered, namely, high speed trending monitoring, laboratory test simulation and combined trend and laboratory simulation.
