Magtrol rotary transmitters are made to facilitate the transmission of signals of transducers that are mounted or installed on a rotating part (eg, engine shaft) to a stationary system (measuring instrument or PC). They are well suited for the transmission of low-level electrical signals such as those from thermocouples, extensometer and strain gauges - as well as transducers measuring oscillation and acceleration.
The MT series can also provide the power supply signal to each transducer. Magtrols MT series rotary transmitters do not use slip rings and are therefore arc-free, making them superior to all other rotary transmitters that use rings, brushes, wire loops, mercury dipping cups and similar devices. Easy to use, installing MT transmitters is as simple as connecting a cable. They require no power supply, batteries, software or parameter set-up in order to operate.
Standard models come as 4, 8 or 12 channels and have a speed range of 0~20 000 rpm with a high speed version up to 40 000 rpm plus optional speed pick-up. Accessories include drive flanges, mountings and vibration free flexible couplings. The Magtrol MT transmitters are used wherever measurement and analysis of rotating items is needed, in research and development laboratories, as well as duration tests on objects under working conditions.
Through high-performance data transmission, Magtrol MT transmitters enable the measurement of pressure, acceleration, oscillation, vibration, shock, force, torque, temperature, and displacement of rotating parts such as turbines, jet-engines, turbo compressors, propellers, motors, machine tools, roll bearings, tilting pads, moulding machine screws and other machines as well as for running tests on all types of road and rail vehicles.
