Mitech's Globe Control valves were designed to accurately dose reagents into the flotation process in a ring main dosing system at a local mine. The valves also monitored the process, reducing reagent costs and eliminated human error.
Specifically designed by Mitech for the application, the system provides a continuous monitoring of the dosing state with feedback given every 15 minutes. The medium is continuously circulated reducing clogging, spillage and crystallisation.
Various globe control valves were used in the ring main and a separate unit was used to control the pressure. The compact ring main dosing system replaced conventional dosing pumps and proved to be cost effective.
