New LV switchgear orders for RBF
August 2003
News
Security Services & Risk Management
Johannesburg-based RBF Technology continues to entrench its position as one of the leading suppliers of low voltage switchgear systems in southern Africa. MD, Johan Basson says that RBF's recent orders include key customers such as Iscor, Foskor, Sasol, Bateman, Murray and Roberts, De Beers and others.
The equipment supplied covers a broad spectrum of applications, and range from fully-withdrawable, intelligent MCCs to distribution boards and PLC panels, worth in excess of R15 million. Basson says that RBF's range of panels comply with the SANS 1473-1 specification which is dictated by the SANS 10142-1 Code of Practise. "Therefore, customers have the peace of mind knowing that their equipment complies with the law."
He went on to say that the company is continuously involved with the changes and technological development in this field, and has a strong commitment to black economic empowerment and entrepreneurial development. Basson concluded by saying that RBF is proudly South African, yet striving to stay abreast of the latest trends, and increasingly successful as an exporter.
