Lapp Kabel has made the principle of a multicable bushing system easier, faster and safer. The SKINTOP CUBE cable bushing system is made up of just a frame and individual flexible clip sealing modules, which attach effortlessly to the appropriatly assembled cable. The cable is then clicked into the frame and is securely fixed in place, protected against vibration, strain relieved and sealed in accordance with IP64. No additional parts are required to secure it.
The individual sealing modules consist of two sections and fit easily onto the cable from above or below without any special tools. Lubricants and sealants are not required either. The outstanding feature is the variable clamping range of the sealing modules; the highly flexible sealing material ensuring optimum sealing of the cable at all times. Four modules are available: 4-6, 6-9, 9-12 and 12-16 mm. Blind modules are also available. The sturdy, glass-fibre-reinforced polyamide frames are available in two sizes for 16-pole or 24-pole connector installation openings. This means that eight to 10 cables of different diameters can be installed in minimal space.
The cubes can be removed from the frame by hand just as easily as they are installed. The major advantage of the SKINTOP CUBE system is that the installation engineer can attach the cubes at the same time as assembling the cable with connectors. This is a time saver.
Assembled cables can be installed anywhere with the frame attachable from the inside or outside. Manufacturers that normally perform additional test runs on their products prior to delivery benefit here since disassembly is quick and easy. The frame remains on the housing and the modules can be removed along with the cables.
Andreas Bauer, product manager at Lapp Kabel says: “Our variable clamping range means that customers no longer need huge stocks of different individual parts. All they need are four modules to cover a clamping range of 4 to 16 mm. This saves time and money.”
The SKINTOP CUBE system is resistant to oil, grease, ultraviolet rays and ozone, and is ideal for control cabinet and equipment construction, industrial machinery and automation.
