SICK Automation Southern Africa has relocated and is operating from Lanseria Corporate Estate, number 24 Eagle Lane – effective 4 September 2017.
The new premises, five times larger than the original ones, are the result of organic expansion. Operating from Lanseria, a centralised location midway between Johannesburg and Pretoria, the new premises allows capacity for further enhancement of support levels, response times and services for customers and partners. The in-house training facilities will enable high quality in-depth training to be offered on the company’s extensive product range.
“SICK’s investment in this custom-designed building is testimony to the strong commitment to its customers and partners in Africa,” says Luxy Moodley, managing director, SICK Automation Southern Africa. “We thank our loyal customers for providing us with the confidence to embark on such an infrastructure improvement.
“The new premises will help facilitate our commitment to ’Sensor Intelligence’, which draws on all of SICK’s system expertise, supplemented by our experience in a variety of sectors. We combine our detailed application knowledge with reliable software architecture to integrate our sensors into new and existing systems. Intelligence is the way we create value for our customers.
The new facility, a milestone for the company, is an important prerequisite in the organisation’s next growth phase as it expands its footprint in southern African markets, following the success it has achieved in South Africa.
