The Calog controller range

December 2016 PLCs, DCSs & Controllers

Instrotech has four controllers on offer under the Calog brand. All feature an intuitive interface with scrolling text prompts and up to four setpoints.

The Calog Quad Process Controller: an advanced quad channel process controller with a virtually endless range of applications. Features include four process inputs (0/4-20 mA) with optional channel averaging across 2, 3, or 4 input channels. The device supplies 24 V excitation and is ideal for use in conjunction with a transmitter and it is easy to scale using low and high display values.

The Calog Quad RTD Controller: an advanced quad channel RTD controller ideal for industrial temperature applications. Features include four RTD inputs (Pt100 , 385/392/Cn10); the ability to average the inputs across 2, 3, or 4 input channels, and use this averaged value for a display source or for setpoint activation; intuitive interface with scrolling text prompts; a choice of either °C or °F display.

The Calog Quad Thermocouple Controller: an advanced quad channel thermocouple controller ideal for industrial temperature applications. Features include four thermocouple inputs (J/K/N/R/T type) and the ability to average the inputs across 2, 3, or 4 input channels, then use this averaged value for a display source or for setpoint activation. Also an intuitive interface with scrolling text prompts; and a choice of either °C or °F display.

The Calog Counter/Rate Batching Controller: an advanced controller with three independent counters, ideal for rate monitoring and batching applications. Features include: three independent hardware counters; quadrature (x1, x2, x4), NPN, PNP, TTL sensors and intelligent count modes where users can choose from a variety of smart formulae to suit the application. Advanced features for this model are batching, batch count modification, programmable input functions, setpoint latching and startup inhibit.

Optional features on all of the models are the 4-20 mA or 0-10 V analog output, the RS-232/RS-485 serial port and a data logging function.
